Applications are invited for the post of Guest faculty (purely temporary) in the Department of Education, NEHU, Shillong on the 12th April, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
1. Name of the post: Guest faculty (purely temporary)
2. The minimum qualification will be follows:
a) Master degree in Arts/humanities/Commerce/Science with M.d each with a minimum of 55% marks (Relaxation of 5% for ST/SC/OBC) OR MA (Education) and B.Ed each with a minimum of 55% Marks (Relaxation of 5% for ST/SC/OBC)
b) Candidates have to be UGC-NET/JRF/SLET qualifies. OR Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009 or UGC Regulations, 2016.
c) M.A (Education) with a minimum of 55% Marks (Relaxation of 5% for ST/SC/OBC) having UGC-NET/JRF/SLET. OR Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D in acordance with the UGC Regulations, 2009 or UGC Regulations, 2016.
3. Salary: The remuneration would be @Rs. 1500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month

The objectives of the University shall be to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-Eastern region, and, in particular, their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement
North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) was established in the year 1973. NEHU is located in Shillong, Meghalaya. The university has two campuses: Shillong and Tura in Meghalaya. It is the UGC's University with Potential for Excellence (conferred in 2006). NEHU was established as a regional university for the states of northeast India, including Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, and had given birth to Nagaland University in 1994 and Mizoram University in 2001.
The university has the following schools (departments/centers of studies): School of Physical Science, School of Social Science, School of Life Science, School of Humanities & Education, School of Human & Environmental Science; School of Economics, Management & Information Science; School of Engineering & Technology.
