Applications are invited for one post of Research Associate (1) in a Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, funded project entitled "Network Programme for Enrichment and Update of Database on Genome Related Information for Indian Spermatophyta and Archegoniatae Taxa-Phase II".

1. Department implementing the project: Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong

3. Qualification: M.Sc. with Ist division and Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology/Genetics/Cytogenetics/Taxonomy/Botany/Bioinformatics 

4. Desirable qualification: Experience in plant taxonomical studies, data collection and expertise in collection and analysis of genome related information through review of literature. Additional preference will be given to candidates who have advanced computational skills.

5. Project duration: 3 years; position is co-terminus with the project

7. Fellowship: As per the sanction of DBT, Government of India.
