Number of Vacancy: 47 Posts
Educational Qualification:
Project Scientist: Doctoral Degree in Science (Agriculture, Environmental, Geospatial) or Masters Degree in Engineering or Technology (Remote Sensing/GIS/Geoinformatics/Agricultural Engineering/Civil Engineering or equivalent) from a recognized university. First class in both Graduation and Post Graduation are mandatory. The class mentioned in the original certificate issued by the respective university would be only considered. With one year working experience in Remote Sensing/GIS/Geospatial Data Analysis in Agriculture.
Project Engineer: B.Tech or BE in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation/ Mechanical/Aerospace With one year working experience in Test & Evaluation / QA activities of Avionic packages/QA activities of Launch Vehicle Mechanical Systems. Workforce shall possess sufficient operational knowledge in using electronic equipment like DMM, Function Generator, Oscilloscope etc.
Project Assistant: Diploma in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation/Mechanical With one year working experience in Test & Evaluation / QA activities of Avionic packages/ QA activities of Launch Vehicle Mechanical Systems. Workforce shall possess sufficient operational knowledge in using electronic equipment like DMM, Function Generator, Oscilloscope etc.
Pay Scale:
INR
30000-72800/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 40 Years.

NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) is a central public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Space (DOS), Government of India. Established in 2019, it was created as the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Unlike its predecessor, Antrix Corporation, which primarily markets ISRO's technologies and services abroad, NSIL has a distinct, demand-driven mandate focused on enabling Indian industry. Its core mission is to transform the Indian space sector by sourcing and building satellites, launch vehicles, and providing launch services through Indian industry partners, effectively moving from a "supply-based" to a "demand-based" model.
NSIL plays a pivotal role in operationalizing the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) policy, which aims to boost private sector participation in space activities. The company is responsible for owning and operationalizing space assets, including the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), and making them available to both commercial and government customers. By acting as an aggregator of user requirements and a bridge between ISRO and the private industry, NSIL is instrumental in scaling up the space economy in India, fostering self-reliance, and ensuring that the country's space capabilities are leveraged for widespread commercial and national development.
