Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • M.Sc. in Chemistry / Physics / Material Science / Bio-Technology / Bioinformatics or related disciplines; OR
  • M.Tech / M.E. in Chemical / Biochemical / Biotechnology Engineering / Materials / Nanotechnology or equivalent degrees.
  • Experience in Physical & Chemical analysis, AI (coding) and instrumentation.
• Fellowship Category (i): Rs. 31,000 + HRA for candidates selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/Assistant Professorship or GATE, or (b) selection through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies/institutions.
• Fellowship Category (ii): Rs. 25,000 + HRA for all other candidates.
• Age Limit: Preferably not more than 35 years as on the closing date of advertisement.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Screening Committee: Based on recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Principal Investigator may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit, considering qualifications and experience above the minimum prescribed.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be notified through email only for the further selection process (Interview).
3. No TA/DA: No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
4. Joining: Selected candidates must join duty immediately upon receipt of the offer.

The appointment is purely temporary, co-terminus with the research project, and will terminate automatically without notice or compensation on completion of the project or due to non-performance. Selected candidates may apply for the regular PhD program of Panjab University, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
