1. Educational Qualification

• Option 1: 1st Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized institution. This includes integrated PG degrees (e.g., M.Sc Physics, M.Sc Chemistry, M.Sc Botany, M.Sc Zoology, M.Sc Biotechnology, M.Sc Genetics, M.Sc Biochemistry, etc.).
• Option 2: 2nd Class Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences + Ph.D. in Life Sciences (including integrated PG Degree with Ph.D.).

2. Desirable Qualifications

• Research experience in genetics or molecular biology.
• Experience in bioinformatics or computational biology.
• Prior publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience with clinical data analysis.
• Knowledge of ophthalmological research.

3. Age Limit & Relaxation

• Age Limit (General/OBC): 35 years.
• Age Relaxation: As per ICMR rules for SC/ST candidates (specific details should be verified in the official notification).
• Date of Birth Proof: Birth certificate or Class X certificate required.

Selection Process

Since there is no written exam, the selection is based on the following stages:

Job Profile & Responsibilities

• Conduct research on genetic and molecular parameters in congenital cataracts.
• Collect and analyze clinical data from pediatric cataract patients.
• Develop and refine risk prediction models for visual axis obscuration.
• Perform genetic analysis and molecular characterization.
• Coordinate data collection from clinical partners.
• Maintain detailed research documentation and records.
