Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India was constituted in 1988 with the objective of reviving classical practical and textual knowledge of Ayurveda through ancient Gurukula method of learning. The targeted learners here are the fresh graduates and post-graduates of Ayurveda still desirous of making themselves more proficient in classical Ayurvedic practices and principles.
MRAV (Member of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth) and CRAV (Certificate of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth) are two such courses that have been started by RAV to fulfill the objectives of making Ayurvedic students more versed in classical, practical and textual knowledge. So far 1549 and 71 students have completed their CRAV and MRAV respectively. For the session 2022-23, 218 students are being trained under 83 Gurus under the CRAV Course. Students receive practical training in various disciplines of Ayurveda under the guidance of RAV impaneled gurus of Ayurveda throughout the country.
