Educational Qualification:
PGT (COMPUTER SCIENCE):
(i) M Sc (Computer Science) / IT) / MCA from recognised institution with at least 50% marks. OR M.E. or M Tech (Computer Science / IT) from recognised institution with at least 50% marks. AND
(ii) B Ed Degree from NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks OR Three year integrated B Ed - M Ed from NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks OR Four year Integrated Degree with at least 50% marks from NCTE recognised institution including B Ed Component.
TGT (MATHEMATICS):
(i) Four years integrated degree course from NCTE recognized Institution/University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate including B Ed component OR Bachelors/Honours Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in concerned subject, combination of subjects and also in aggregate.
(ii) B Ed Degree from NCTE recognised Institution/University with at least 50% marks OR three year integrated B Ed-M Ed from NCTE recognised Institution/University with at least 50% marks.
TGT-ODIA:
(i) The candidate must have passed Class X standard in Modern Indian Language (MIL) Odia. OR The candidate not having Odia as a subject up to Class X standard must have qualified at the Single Subject Odia Examination up to High School standard conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Cuttack, Odisha.
(ii) Odia as an Honours/Pass/Elective/Major/Special Subject at Graduation level with at least 50% marks from any recognised University.
(iii) B Ed with 50% marks in aggregate from recognised university / NCTE recognised institution.
(iv) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Paper-2 (Paper-1 to teach up to middle class), conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
COUNSELLOR: Graduate/Post Graduate in psychology or Post Graduate in Child Development or Graduate/Post Graduate with Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling.
LABORATORY ASSISTANT (PHYSICS): Intermediate Science or equivalent in the subject (Physics).
HORSE RIDING INSTRUCTOR:
(i) Intermediate (+2) OR Risaldar course qualified.
(ii) Experience as Horse Riding Instructor in a School/College Horse Riding Club.
PTI-AND-MATRON (FEMALE): Bachelor Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University / Institution OR Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University/Institution provided that the admission qualification for the diploma is at least University’s Degree.
PART TIME MEDICAL OFFICER:
(i) MBBS degree.
(ii) He/she is required to reside within the limits of Bhubaneswar.
(iii) He/she must attend the School Infirmary on a daily basis for at least 2 hours, preferably in the morning.
(iv) He/she must be available on telephone so that his/her services can be availed in case of an emergency.
Pay Scale:

Sainik School Bhubaneswar was started by Late Shri Biju Patnaik Chief Minister of Orissa on 15 Jan 1962 in an adhoc government accommodation. The new building and infrastructure was brought up within two years at the present location under personal care of Shri Biju Patnaik and was inaugurated by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on 08 Jan 1964.
Sainik School Bhubaneswar is located in the Capital City of Orissa in the close vicinity of Utkal University, Vani Vihar just 2 Kms away from National Highway. The distance of the school from Airport is about 10 Kms and from Railway Station it is only 8 Kms.
The primary aim and the objective of Sainik Schools is to prepare boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the National Defence Academy. Moreover, the high level of physical, mental and intellectual attainments needed for induction into the Officer Cadre which could not be nurtured in the common schools, mainly because of lack of infrastructure facilities.
