Recruitment Overview

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has announced a recruitment drive for project-based positions. This opportunity is for the Population Based Cancer Registry Odisha State project, located at the Centre for Cancer Epidemiology in Navi Mumbai. • Statistician (01 Post)
• Zonal Coordinator (02 Posts)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Statistician:
  • Education: M.Sc. Statistics or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working with cancer registry data, Cancer Centre, Cancer Prevention Programme, or Public Health Programme.
• Zonal Coordinator:
  • Education: Science graduate with Master's in Public Health (MPH) or Master's of Hospital Administration (MHA) equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Experience: One year experience in population-based cancer registry, screening programmer, cancer center, public health programme, or working with state government authorities.
  • Mandatory Skills: Ability to communicate in Odia/English/Hindi. Proficient in computer knowledge (MS Office).

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: Less than 30 Years.
• Age As On: 20th February 2026. (Candidates must check their eligibility based on this date).

Selection Process (Direct Recruitment/Interview)

This recruitment does not involve a written exam. Selection is based on the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Review of resumes and documents submitted via email.
2. Shortlisting: Candidates meeting the criteria will be intimated by email by 24th February 2026.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview.

Job Profile & Duties

For Statistician:

• Data checking and analysis of cancer registry data.
• Population projection and survival analysis.
• Report preparation.
• Travel: Travelling to all districts of Odisha for data quality control.

For Zonal Coordinator:

• Collect cancer patient data from cancer centers/medical colleges.
• Data entry in web-based software.
• Assist district health authorities in running the population-based cancer registry.
• Travel: Regular travel to 5-6 districts of Odisha assigned to the candidate.
• Station: Candidate will be stationed in the district where medical college/cancer treatment facilities are available.
