Educational Qualification: Lower Division Clerk: i. 12th pass from a recognized Board/ University ii. Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi, on Computer iii. Proficiency in Computer Operation
Driver: i. Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University ii. Must hold a valid light duty vehicle driving license iii. Having accident free record and ability to carry out minor repairs to the vehicle
Multi Tasking Staff : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University
Experience: Lower Division Clerk: i. Degree from a recognized university ii. 6 months’ Certificate Course on Computer Operation iii. Experience in establishment/ accounts/ purchase/ stores of a reputed commercial organization/ industry.
Driver: Minimum five years’ experience in driving light duty vehicles

Age Limit: Not exceeding 25 years. (Age relaxation to be given to Govt. servants in accordance with DoPT’s instructions issued from time to time.)

SAMEER was set up as an autonomous R & D laboratory at Mumbai under the then Department of Electronics, Government of India with a broad mandate to undertake R & D work in the areas of Microwave Engineering and Electromagnetic Engineering Technology. It is an offshoot of the special microwave products unit (SMPU) set up in 1977 at the TATA INSTITUTE OF FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH (TIFR), Mumbai. SAMEER, Mumbai was setup in 1984.
Centre for Electromagnetics, SAMEER Chennai which was under Department of Electronics (DOE) was merged with SAMEER in 1987.
Centre for Microwave & Millimeterwave, SAMEER Kolkata was set up in 1994.
Elecromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Laboratory, SAMEER Visakhapatnam was established in 2014.
Centre for High Power Microwave Tube and Component Technology, SAMEER Guwahati was established in 2015.
