Stenographer Grade-III

Educational Qualification: The applicant should possess a degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent thereto from a recognized university and have proficiency in computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).

Applicant should have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language. Applicants who have not passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language at matriculation level can apply however, they would be required to pass the same within the probation period, if selected, failing which their appointment shall stand cancelled.

Computer-Based Test (CBT) - 60 Marks

Duration: 1 Hour
Negative Marking: No

English Shorthand & Transcription Test
Dictation at 80 words per minute (wpm)
Transcription speed of 20 wpm on a computer
More than 8% mistakes will lead to disqualification

Spreadsheet Test
Duration: 10 minutes
Total Marks: 10
Qualifying Marks: 40% (4 marks minimum required)

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities of Punjab - Rs.625/-.
All other categories - Rs.825/-.
