Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) Invites Application for Scientific Officer Recruitment 2022

Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of *India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 5(five) vacancies (UR-02 & ST-03) (Temporary) posts of Scientific Officer, Group-B, Gazetted in three different branches/ discipline, State Forensic Science Laboratory under Home Department, Government of Tripura in the scale of Pay Rs. 47,600-in the Level -13 of Tripura State Pay Matrix-2018 (Pre — Revised Pay Band-3(Rs.10,230-34,800/-) + Grade Pay Rs.4,800/ under the Home Department, Govt. of Tripura.

3. Scale of Pay: Rs. 47,600-in the Level -13 of Tripura State Pay Matrix-2018 (Pre — Revised Pay Band-3(Rs.10,230-34,800/-) + Grade Pay Rs.4,800/-

4. Essential Qualifications:

(i) For Chemical Science Discipline (Chemistry Division, Toxicology Division) : M.Sc with 50% marks in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject from any recognized university.

(ii)For Biological Science Discipline (Biology/Seologygy Division, DNA Typing Division: M. sc. with 50% Marks in Botany/Z0010U/ Microbi010U/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry or Physical Anthropolow or Forensic Science or Genetics with Botany or Zoology as one of the subject from any recognized University.

(iii) For Physical Science Discipline (Physics/ Ballistics Division,Document Division): M.Sc with 50% marks in Physics/ Mathematics/Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subject from any recognized University.

5. Desirable Oualification: Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.

Selection Procedure

i. Written Examination 180 marks (MCQ type OMR based): There will be Negative marks for MCQ. For each question for which a wrong answer/multiple answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

ii. Interview 20 marks:

(a) Interview: A limited no. of candidates, maximum 5(five) times of total posts (category wise) will be selected merit wise on the basis of the result of the Written Examination.

(b) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate in the Written Examination shall also be called for Interview.

(c) The candidates who will be found qualified in the written examination will be called to appear in the Interview.

(d) In the list of recommendation, merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age. The same procedure is to be followed for preparing waiting List, if there be any. Further, provided that, in the list of recommendation, merit position of candidates securing equal marks in aggregate and also of the same age will be decided on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification prescribed in Recruitment Rules/ Service Rules.

(e) Ranks of the candidates are not prepared for the candidates beyond the recommendation list & wait list (if there be any).

(f) The final selection will be made in order of merit and merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in the written examination and Interview. If a candidate remains absent in Interview his/her candidature will not be considered for final selection.
