Applications are invited for preparing a panel of Casual Drivers on a daily wage basis in the Transport Department of the University of Kerala. The panel will be maintained to fill vacancies that arise from time to time during the current academic year.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: SSLC / Standard X or equivalent examination passed from a recognized board.
• Technical Qualification: Must possess a valid motor vehicle driving licence for motor cars issued by the Motor Vehicle Department of the Government of Kerala.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years as on 01 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (as per University of Kerala rules) and OBC candidates as per prevailing Government of Kerala norms.
• Physical Standards: Minimum height of 158 cm and minimum chest measurement of 76 cm is mandatory.
• Physical Disability: Candidates with physical disabilities are not eligible to apply for this post.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection of candidates for the Casual Driver panel will be carried out in the following stages:

1. Online Application Screening: Applications will be scrutinised for eligibility — qualification, driving licence validity, age, and physical standards.
2. Physical Fitness Test & Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must produce a fitness certificate (including vision test) issued by a Government Medical Practitioner not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon at the time of interview, in the prescribed format.
3. Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for interview at the University campus. All communication regarding interview calls and appointment orders will be sent exclusively to the registered email ID provided in the application form.

Note: Candidates should retain self-attested copies of all uploaded certificates and carry originals for verification during the interview. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.
