Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF):
  • Ph.D. degree with research focus on Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) or Information Technology / IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES).
  • Ph.D. must be from a recognized institution with first class at every earlier level (in terms of grades) and a good academic record throughout.
  • Ph.D. must have been completed within the past 5 years (counted from 18 November 2026).
  • Candidates who earned their Ph.D. from the University of Allahabad are not eligible.
  • Upper age limit: 40 years on the date of application submission.
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Researchers with proven academic record including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions.
  • Applicants in regular employment are not eligible; scientists/researchers in temporary academic or research posts may apply but must resign if selected.
  • Previous recipients of this fellowship under the scheme are not eligible.
  • Preference: Candidates with active industry links and research proposals addressing industry-specific problems.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Stage I – Screening Test: Conducted offline, exclusively at the University of Allahabad campus. Based on the ESDM or IT/ITES research domain. A list of shortlisted candidates for interview will be announced based on test results (tentatively on 21.11.2026).
2. Stage II – Personal Interview: Conducted by a panel of experts. May be held on the same day as Stage I or the next day.

Selection is subject to the interview panel's recommendation and approval by the Competent Authority. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the screening test or interview. The university may revise, reschedule, cancel or suspend the process without notice; its decision is final and no appeal will be entertained.
