Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Senior Deputy Secretary (Class - I): Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; and twelve years' experience in executive cadre in General Administration, Personnel, or Industrial Relations in an Industrial, Commercial, or Government Undertaking.
- Desirable: Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Social Work, Labour Welfare, or allied subjects; or Degree in Law from a recognised university/institute.
- For Absorption (Composite Method): Officers holding analogous posts or Deputy Secretary and equivalent posts in GAD disciplines in Major Port Authorities in scale Rs. 60,000 - Rs. 1,80,000 with three years regular service, or combined seven years regular service in scales Rs. 50,000 - Rs. 1,60,000 and Rs. 60,000 - Rs. 1,80,000.
- For Deputation: Officers holding analogous posts in scale Rs. 60,000 - Rs. 1,80,000 in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/autonomous bodies with three years regular service.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection is conducted by merit through the composite method from eligible officers of Major Port Authorities. The benchmark in overall grading in the ACR/APAR will not be below Very Good. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.
