Educational Qualification: M.E/M.Tech

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work on Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) (A statutory body of the DST, Government of India) funded research project (No. CRG/2021/000648) [For a limited period of time]

1. Title of the project: Thermal transformation of waste toner into Carbon nanotubes and Iron in a novel cascade reactor system

2. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

3. Duration of the Project: 3 years

4. Essential qualification: M. Tech/ M.E in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Environmental Engineering / Material Engineering / Polymer Engineering / Plastic Engineering / Nanotechnology / Industrial Pollution Abatement / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering with first class and have qualified GATE in the past.

5. Desired qualification:

a) Good academic record and knowledge in the relevant area

b) Experience in the Design of experiments and handling of analytical instruments.

c) Good analytical ability and technical writing skills.

6. PhD Opportunity (for GATE qualified) - JRF candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to register for regular Ph. D. program in VNIT provided JRF satisfies the eligibility criteria for the same

7. Stipend: First two years Rs 31,000/- per month (Consolidated) and Third year Rs. 35,000/- per month (Consolidated). HRA will be given as per rules.

8. Nature of post: The post is on contract basis upto a maximum period of three years subject to satisfactory performance evaluation every Six months.
