Educational Qualification: Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Desirable: a. Graduation / Masters’ Degree in Life Sciences from a recognized University. b. Candidates with a keen interest in field-oriented wildlife/snake research, good analytical, molecular genetic aspects, and communication skills. c. Working experience in GIS.

Important Instructions:

1. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual. 2. The candidates are required to submit their completed application forms in PDF format, with accompanying attachments A SINGLE PDF FILE, by email (with subject line: “Application for the post of _______________in “CONSERVATION ECOLOGY OF ENDANGERED RETICULATED PYTHON MALAYOPYTHON RETICULATUS (SCHNEIDER 1801) IN THE NICOBAR ARCHIPELAGO, INDIA” to not later than 1730 hrs on 12.10.2022. 3. Application form need to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by (a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications, (b) Scanned copies of experience letter/ certificates and (c) A concise statement of purpose (SOP) with approximately 300-500 words (in single spacing and 12-point font). The (SOP) should be compulsorily attached with the application stating the purpose clearly for applying to this position. Incomplete applications will be rejected. There is no specified format for the SOP. 4. The applications received will be rejected by the Institute, if (i) receive after the deadline, (ii) not in prescribed application format, (iii) self attested documents of qualification, date of birth & experience not attached or (iv) received without said subject line in e-mail. 5. The essential, desirable qualifications, experience, Publications and SOP will be used for shortlisting the candidates for online interview. 6. At the time of verification of original documents, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered. 7. The positions advertised are purely temporary/ contractual for the project period only and will stand abolished after completion of the project. 8. The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations. 9. Relaxation in Age will be given as per Govt. of India norms 10.
