Women & Child Development Department (WCD) was established by State Government, Its functions under the Directorate of Hospital & Medical Education Institute.
The Department was established to develop the plans action at all levels through decentralized participatory process from Village level to Gram Panchayat, Sub- Division to District and State level for improving Health Status of State.
The main objective of Women & Child Development Department (WCD) is to provide facilities in line with the approved plan, monitor and take corrective action and carry out independent impact assessment studies to provide quality health status to the rural population.
