Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical Examination Board, Gujarat, or any recognized university. Diploma in Automobile Engineering is accepted as equivalent.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as of 09 November 2026. Relaxation applies: General Women (5 years), Reserved Men (5 years), Reserved Women (10 years), PwD (Up to 45 years).
Selection Process & Screening Clause
The selection process is based on a Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or OMR mode examination conducted by GSSSB.
- Part A: Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati/English Comprehension (90 Marks).
- Part B: Mechanical Engineering-related Subjects (120 Marks).
- Scoring: Total 210 Marks. One-fourth negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% separately in Part A and Part B.
- Post-Exam: Document Verification and other formalities as per Board rules. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the examination.
