Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Chemistry OR Degree in Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agriculture Science, Veterinary Science, Bio-Chemistry, Microbiology, or Medicine.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 37 years as on 10 November 2026.
- Age Relaxation: Applicable as per rules for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and Disabled categories.
- Other Conditions: Must be an Indian Citizen. Candidates must have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Basic knowledge of computer application is mandatory.
- Disqualification: Persons having any financial interest in the manufacture, import, or sale of any article of food are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Competitive Written Examination: Conducted via CBRT/OMR. The exam has two parts. Part-A includes Logical Tests, Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension (90 Marks). Part-B includes subject-specific knowledge (120 Marks).
- Marking Scheme: Negative marking of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying standard is 40% for both Part-A and Part-B.
- Document Verification: Original documents must be produced for verification upon qualifying the written examination.
