Appointment is for an initial period of six months. Based on satisfactory performance, it may be extended for the remaining project duration of up to two (02) years, subject to availability of project funds and institute/ISRO guidelines. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Only eligible Indian nationals may apply. The essential qualification is:
- A Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR a Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
- Selection through National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies/Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Qualifications (Preferential):
- Strong background in Digital Communication, Wireless Communication, Information Theory, Channel Coding and Error Control Coding.
- Knowledge of Optical Communication and Free Space Optical (FSO) Communication.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar simulation/programming tools.
- Knowledge of communication system design and performance analysis.
- Good programming, analytical and technical writing skills.
- Research publications in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
The notice does not specify a minimum experience requirement or an age limit.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Application Screening: Applications are screened based on eligibility and suitability for the project.
- Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates are invited for interview via email. Meeting minimum eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on academic performance and relevant experience.
- Interview: Conducted offline at IIIT Pune or online, depending on administrative requirements. Final selection is based on academic credentials, research aptitude, technical competence and interview performance.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Original documents must be produced for verification at the time of interview/joining.
