Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

This recruitment is on a deputation basis and is open only to serving Central Government officers. Candidates must satisfy both conditions (a) and (b) below:

Condition (a) – Cadre Status

  • Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
  • With five years of service rendered after appointment to the post in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 1,77,500) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Condition (b) – Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Two years' experience in administration or establishment or accounts work in a Government department.

Important Eligibility Notes

  • Officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration on deputation.
  • Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration by promotion for this post.
  • The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection for ITBP Senior Administrative Officer (Deputation) involves departmental screening rather than a competitive written examination or walk-in interview. The process is as follows:

  1. Screening of Applications: Only applications received within the due date through proper channel with complete documentation will be considered.
  2. APAR Assessment: Evaluation of the last 5 years' Annual Performance Assessment Reports (APAR) for each shortlisted officer.
  3. Vigilance & Disciplinary Clearance: The officer must have a clean service record and clearance from disciplinary/vigilance proceedings.
  4. Departmental Approval: Selection subject to cadre clearance, acceptance by the parent cadre, and administrative approval of the competent authority.
  5. Issue of Deputation Order: Selected officers will be relieved by their parent departments and posted to ITBPF.

  • Leave Travel Concession (LTC): Applicable as per CCS (LTC) Rules, 1988 as amended from time to time.
  • Leave: Admissibility as per CCS (Leave) Rules.
  • Medical Attendance: Central Government Medical Attendance Rules applicable.
  • Place of Liability: Delhi, as per availability of vacancies.
