Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

There are a total of 11 vacancies for the post of Senior Resident on an adhoc basis across seven specialities. The number of vacancies may vary.

Basic Pay: Rs. 67,700/- in Revised Pay Matrix Level 11 (7th Central Pay Commission) with other allowances as admissible. Appointments are purely on an adhoc basis for a period of 89 days or until fresh/regular incumbents join, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Post Graduate Degree Required: MD / MS / DNB / DIPLOMA (or equivalent) in the concerned speciality (Radiology, Medicine, Anaesthesia, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, or Microbiology).
• Experience-based Fallback: In case non-availability of MD/MS/DNB/DIPLOMA candidates, candidates having at least 02 years of experience in Govt. Hospital / Govt. Institution in the concerned speciality will be considered and appointed on purely adhoc basis for 89 days.
• Age Limit (as on date of interview):
• General: 45 years
• OBC (Delhi): 48 years
• SC / ST: 50 years
• Completed Senior Residency Candidates: Candidates who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency but are willing to serve as Senior Resident may also apply. They will be offered residency only if no fresh Senior Residents are available, for a period of 89 days extendable up to a maximum of one year.
• Nationality: Indian Nationals only.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Candidates appearing before the interview panel on any working Friday between 09-10-2026 and 30-10-2026 will be evaluated based on their postgraduate qualifications, experience, and performance at the walk-in interview.
• No separate letter for interview will be issued; candidates must report directly to the venue on any scheduled Friday.
• If candidates of a reserved category do not appear for interview, seats may be filled from other categories as per reservation policy.
• The services of adhoc Senior Residents are likely to be terminated upon joining of regular Senior Residents through the Government of N.C.T. of Delhi or upon a regular interview of Senior Residents, even if the tenure of 89 days is not completed.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
