Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Casual News Editor (Hindi)

• Education: Graduation from a recognised university; and a degree in Journalism (Hindi) OR a PG Diploma in Journalism (Hindi)/Mass Communication from a recognised university/institution with at least one year duration; OR 5 years experience of reporting/editing work in print/electronic media
• Language: Proficiency in Hindi language
• Desirable: Experience of journalism work in radio/TV/print in a reputed media organisation; knowledge of basic computer application and typing in Hindi
• Nationality: Indian origin, resident of Delhi and NCR

Casual News Reader-cum-Translator (Hindi)

• Education: Graduation from a recognised university
• Language: Proficiency in Hindi language
• Skills: Powerful voice and good presentation skills
• Desirable: Experience of journalism in radio/TV/print; knowledge of basic computer application and Hindi typing
• Nationality: Indian origin, resident of Delhi and NCR

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Casual News Editor (Hindi) – Two-Stage Selection

• Stage 1 – Written Examination: Duration of three hours, carrying 50 or more marks to assess professional ability and knowledge. Candidates scoring 50 or more marks will be called for an interview.
• Stage 2 – Interview: The Selection Committee will assess overall personality and suitability for radio news.
• Final Approval: Inclusion in the panel requires approval from the Director General (News).

Casual News Reader-cum-Translator (Hindi) – Two-Stage Selection

• Stage 1 – Written Examination: Duration of three hours, carrying 100 marks. Candidates scoring 50 or more marks will be called for the voice test.
• Stage 2 – Voice Test & Interview: The voice test (100 marks) evaluates voice quality, modulation, delivery style, pronunciation, and accent. The Selection Committee may recommend candidates scoring 50 or more marks in the voice test and interview for approval by the Director General (News).

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the written examination, voice test, or interview.
