Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification:
  • B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognised institution; OR
  • Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery along with 'A' Grade Certificate in Nursing from a recognised institution, plus a Post-certificate Diploma in Nursing Administration / Sister Tutor's Course.
• Experience: Five (5) years of experience as Nursing Sister / Theatre Sister.
• Nursing Council Registration: Must be registered with the Delhi Nursing Council (DNC) or any other recognised Nursing Council. After selection, registration with DNC reflecting the essential qualification for the selected post is mandatory.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 55 years. Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Departmental Candidates/Ex-Servicemen/PwD candidates as per Govt. of India, DoPT, and Govt. of NCT of Delhi instructions. Candidates seeking age-relaxation must produce valid category certificates issued on or before 22-10-2026. OBC candidates must furnish a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued within the preceding six months by the competent authority of Govt. of NCT of Delhi.

Pay Structure & Contract Tenure

The selected candidate will be placed on a consolidated pay scale of Rs. 15,600–39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 5,400 (Level 10 of the 7th CPC).

The appointment is on a contractual basis for an initial period of five (05) years, subject to a satisfactory work and conduct report from the Director, RGSSH (serving as HOD). Further extension, if any, will be considered based on the annual performance appraisal as per the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) of the hospital. This contractual engagement is not pensionable.
