The Soil and Land Use Survey of India (SLUSI), functioning under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, has issued an Office Memorandum dated 28 September 2026 inviting applications for three (03) vacancies in the post of Office Superintendent on a deputation (including short-term contract) basis for a period of three years. The post is classified as General Central Service, Group-B, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial, Level-6 of Pay Matrix (pre-revised scale: ₹9,300–34,800, Pay Band-2, Grade Pay ₹4,200).
This is not a direct-recruitment permanent central government job. Officers currently serving under Central/State Governments, UT Administrations, Public Sector Undertakakes, Universities, Recognized Research Institutes, Semi-Government, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Organisations are eligible to apply. Conditions (all three must be satisfied):
- Condition A (one of the following):
- (i) Holding an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
- (ii) With six years' service in the grade rendered on regular basis in posts in Level-5 (Pay Band-1, ₹5,200–20,200, GP ₹2,800) or equivalent; OR
- (iii) With ten years' service in the grade rendered on regular basis in posts in Level-4 (Pay Band-1, ₹5,200–20,200, GP ₹2,400) or equivalent.
- Condition B: Possessing two years' experience of establishment, administration and accounts work.
Important Note: Departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion are not eligible. Deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration by promotion. The period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Applications will be screened by a duly constituted Selection Committee at SLUSI to shortlist candidates based on eligibility, experience, and APAR/ACR appraisal ratings.
- Shortlisted candidates may be called for personal interaction / interview at SLUSI New Delhi as per departmental schedule.
- Final selection is subject to verification of all original documents and vigilance clearance.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or personal interaction (except transfer TA as per rules upon actual joining on deputation).
