Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Cadre: Officers retired from the cadre of Joint Secretary in Mantralaya departments, or officers of equivalent or higher senior cadre from other government departments.
• Subject Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of tribal culture, tribal customs and practices, anthropology, and ethnology to process and decide caste claim appeals.
• Language and Technical Skills: Working proficiency in Marathi and English languages, along with operational knowledge of modern artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini.
• Age Limit: Below 65 years. Preference will be given to eligible retired officers aged below 65 years.
• Experience: Must possess relevant administrative experience in government service at the required senior level. Applications without requisite eligibility and experience will not be considered or answered.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Initial Screening: Applications received from candidates lacking the required qualifications and experience will be rejected outright without any correspondence.
• Interview and Panel Formulation: Shortlisted eligible candidates will appear for an interview, based on which a panel of selected candidates will be prepared.
• Departmental Discretion: The Tribal Development Department reserves the full and final right regarding the selection of suitable candidates from the panel.
• TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Duly filled application in the prescribed proforma.
• Recent self-attested passport-size photograph affixed on the top right corner of the form.
• Details of designation at retirement, date of birth, age, mobile number, residential address, qualifications, and past administrative experience.
• Proof of service as retired Joint Secretary or equivalent senior cadre officer.
• Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).

Important Instructions:

• The appointment is strictly on a contract basis initially for a duration of one year from the date of issuance of the appointment order.
• Any appointed officer wishing to resign from service must give a minimum of two months' advance notice.
• During the contractual term, the retired officers will work under the administrative control of the Commissioner, Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI), Pune.
• Applications received after 6 November 2026, 5:30 PM will be rejected automatically.
