Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
This is a deputation / absorption post. Only officers currently serving in the Central Government, State Government, Central or State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Central and State Autonomous / Statutory bodies are eligible. The candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria:
- Holding an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
- Having five years of regular service in posts in Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15,600 – Rs. 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5,400) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
In addition, the candidate must possess a degree in any Biological Sciences (including Agriculture) from a Government-recognised University.
Job Description & Duties of Under Secretary (Technical)
The Under Secretary (Technical) will work under the Director (Technical) at WDRA headquarters, New Delhi, and will be responsible for:
- Grant of Registration of Warehouses under the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007
- Inspection of warehouses across India
- Implementation of the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 including parliamentary matters
- Preparation and amendment of Rules and Regulations for implementation of the Act
- Any other duties as assigned by the Competent Authority
Selection Process & Deputation Terms
This is a deputation appointment, not a direct recruitment. The selection process involves:
- Forwarding of applications by the Parent Department / Organisation through proper channel
- Screening of eligible candidates based on qualification, experience, and APAR/ACR record
- Assessment of performance, vigilance clearance, and integrity certification
- Final selection by the Competent Authority at WDRA

- Absorption in WDRA may be considered after two years of satisfactory service, subject to WDRA's organisational need and internal guidelines
