What is the age limit for UP Police Sub Inspector recruitment?

The age limit for UP Police Sub Inspector (SI) is generally 21 to 28 years as of July 1 of the examination year for General category candidates. Age relaxations are provided as per Uttar Pradesh government rules.

- General (Unreserved): 21–28 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years (upper limit 31 years)
- SC/ST (Uttar Pradesh domicile): +5 years (upper limit 33 years)
- EWS: No age relaxation
- PwBD (General): +10 years; PwBD (OBC): +13 years; PwBD (SC/ST): +15 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Up to 38 years (subject to service conditions)

The cut-off date for age calculation is July 1 of the exam year. Only candidates who are domiciled in Uttar Pradesh are eligible. Final eligibility is subject to the official notification issued by UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB).
