What is the posting and transfer policy for SSC CHSL recruits?

SSC CHSL recruits are posted based on:
- Merit rank
- Post preferences given during application
- Availability of vacancies in ministries/departments
- Medical fitness and zone-wise reservation

Transfer policies:
- Initial postings are generally non-transferable for the first few years
- Transfers depend on administrative requirements, seniority, and departmental rules
- Postal Assistants may be posted anywhere in India under the Department of Posts
- Clerks in central ministries may be posted in Delhi or field offices
