Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification

• Joint Director (Technical): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level-11; Master's degree in Economics, Physics, Mathematics, or Chemistry OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Energy Auditor certificate; 10 years post-qualification experience in energy efficiency in industry, transport, or building sectors.
• Joint Director (Non-Technical): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level-11; Bachelor's degree OR MBA with specialisation in Finance/HR; 10 years post-qualification experience in establishment, administration, Accounts, or Vigilance.
• Deputy Director (Technical): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level-10; Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Economics OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Energy Manager or Energy Auditor certificate; 5 years post-qualification experience in energy efficiency in industry, transport, or building sectors.
• Deputy Director (Non-Technical): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level-10; Bachelor's degree OR MBA with specialisation in Finance/HR; 5 years post-qualification experience in establishment, administration, Accounts, or Vigilance.
• Assistant Director (Finance): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 4 years service in Pay Level-8, or 5 years service in Pay Level-7; Bachelor's degree OR MBA in Finance; minimum 3 years experience in finance, accounts, and budget related works.
• Assistant Director (HR): Holding analogous posts on regular basis, or with 4 years service in Pay Level-8, or 5 years service in Pay Level-7; Bachelor's degree OR MBA in Human Resources; minimum 3 years experience in general administration and establishment related works.
• Age Limit: The maximum age for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Selection Process and Screening Clause

Selection for all 23 vacancies will be carried out by a Selection Committee constituted by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency based on the scrutiny of the submitted Curriculum Vitae and supporting documents. The screening criteria include:

• Assessment of educational qualifications against prescribed norms for each post
• Verification of post-qualification experience relevant to energy efficiency domain (for Technical posts) or administrative/financial domain (for Non-Technical, Finance, and HR posts)
• Review of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the last 5 years and Vigilance Clearance
• Confirmation of holding analogous posts on regular basis or qualifying service in prescribed Pay Levels

No written examination or interview will be conducted; the decision of the Selection Committee shall be final. No Travelling Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be paid for attending the selection process.

Enclosures to be submitted along with the application:

• Complete ACRs of the last 5 years
• Vigilance Clearance from current organisation
• Major/Minor penalty statement of the last 10 years

• Energy Auditor or Energy Manager Certificate (where applicable)

Note: Candidates who applied in response to the earlier advertisement dated 06.06.2026 need not apply afresh.

8. All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets for relevant qualifications
