Cadre-Wise Educational Qualification Norms

1. RRC Southern Railway Act Apprentice

• Ex-ITI Candidates: Must have passed 10th Class examination under 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board, along with a National Trade Certificate (NTC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) in the relevant trade.
• Fresher Candidates:
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology / Pathology / Cardiology): Passed 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (minimum 50% aggregate).
  • Fitter, Welder, Painter: Passed 10th class with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

2. RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories)

• Undergraduate Posts (Junior Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Trains Clerk): Passed 12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (50% marks relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen).

3. Junior Engineer (JE) & Technical Supervisors

Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics Engineering OR a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized AICTE-approved institution.

Age Limit Norms & Statutory Relaxations
