1. Name of the Post: Associate Professor

2. No of Post: 24

3. Pay Band & Grade Pay: PB-4 (Rs 37,400-67,000) with AGP of Rs 9,000 (Pre-revised) corresponding to Level-13-Al+ (Rs 1,38,300- 2,09,200) of 7th CPC read with letter no. V16020/28/2017-INI-I (Pt.) dated 23.08.2018 of MoH&FW, Govt. of India, plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only.

4. Essential for Medical Candidates (for Broad Speciality Discipline) Educational Qualification: 1. A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of third schedule should also fulfil the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.) 2. A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.

5. Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

6. Essential for Medical Candidates (for Super speciality Discipline) Essential for Super speciality Candidates 1. M.Ch. for surgical Super specialities and D.M. for Medical Super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

7. Experience: Four years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in subject specialty after obtaining of D.M./M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Or Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in subject specialty for candidate possessing 3 years recognized degree D.M. /M.Ch. in respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

8. Essential for Dentistry Candidates Essential Qualification: 1. A qualification included in part I and Part II of schedule to the Dentist Act 1948 (16 of 1948) 2. A Postgraduate qualification in Dental Surgery, e.g. M.D.S

9. Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

10. Essential for Non- Medical Candidates Educational Qualifications* 1. Master’s degree in concerned specialty. 2. A doctorate degree of recognized university.

11. Experience: Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.
