Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Senior Resident (Medical Candidates)

• Essential Qualification: A Post Graduation Medical Degree MD/MS/DNB or equivalent in respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute as per Central Residency Scheme.
• Specific Discipline Requirements:
  • Hospital Administration: MD in Hospital Administration / Master’s in Hospital Administration (full time after MBBS) / DNB in Hospital Administration.
  • Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank: MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine / Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion.
  • Trauma & Emergency Medicine: MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine / Orthopedics / General Surgery / Anesthesiology / General Medicine / Pediatrics.
  • Super-Specialty Disciplines: DM/MCh/DNB or equivalent in respective super-specialty disciplines.
  • Dentistry: MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
• Experience: The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.

Eligibility for Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical Candidates)

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Biotech / M.Stat. in the concerned subject and PhD in concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
• Applicable Departments: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biostatistics only.

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of publishing the notification.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PWD (OPH): 10 years
• Age relaxation for other categories applicable as per DoPT instructions.
