AMMACHI Labs, a research center at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is collaborating with the major government ministry to develop India’s first virtual labs for vocational skills for school children. The project would involve the design and development of immersive and interactive 3D games and simulations to teach vocational skills in an engaging way and would be deployed on government portals and accessible through mobiles. Some exercises will also be available in Virtual Reality. This flagship project will impact 100’s of thousands of children, helping them to learn and practice skills for priority sectors free of cost.

4. Details of Job :
a) We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop learning and practicing experiences for Elearning, 3D games, Virtual and Augmented reality solutions. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. The main role of Instructional designers will be creating and engaging learning games and activities and closely working with subject matter experts and identifying target audience and needs. Also will be responsible for applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
b0 Key deliverables include: Curriculum & lesson plans, Storyboards, Game design document, Games, Videos, assessments, Manuals
5. Desired Skills :
a) Experience in working with subject matter experts to derive requirements and effectively convert them into storyboards / designs for Learning games, e-Learning, instructional videos.
b) Experience with Learning Game design
c) Experience in developing instructional material/ eLearning following ADDIE and other models.
d) Excellent English verbal and written skills
e) Experience in creating Lesson Plans, Student and Trainer Guides, assessments
f) Excellent MS Powerpoint Skills
6. Experience : 3 years upto 10 years of experience
7. Education : BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology preferred Or any degree with atleast 3 years of experience in instructional design.
8. Job Location : Amritapuri, Kollam / Remote / Hybrid option available
