Educational Qualification:
Scientist-B (Medical): MBBS / BDS / B.V.Sc. & AH recognized by MCI / DCI / VCI respectively. OR BDS / B.V.Sc. degree with one year experience
Scientist-B (Non-Medical): BE / B. Tech degree in Biotechnology with 2 years of experience or equivalent degree from a recognized university. OR 1st class Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology / Virology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences from recognized university. OR 2nd class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Medical Microbiology / Virology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology /Life Sciences from recognized university.
Research Assistant: Postgraduate degree in Medical Microbiology / Virology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences from a recognized university. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications / Business Intelligence Tools / Data Management.
Laboratory Technician: B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology / Intermediate with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or High School with 5 years of Lab experience.
Data Entry Operator: Graduate with knowledge of data entry work.
Multi-Tasking Staff: High School / Matric / equivalent from a recognized board.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands is a Union territory, with Port Blair as its capital. The Islands - a total of 572 in number - are located in South-East of the Bay of Bengal, between 6˚ and 14˚ North latitudes and 92˚ & 94˚ East longitudes. Of the total, only 36 are permanently inhabitated and these are separated from each other by vast sea.
For administrative purposes, the Islands in the Union Territory are grouped into three districts viz. North & Middle Andaman, South Andaman, and Nicobar. While the North & Middle Andaman group of Islands stretches over 120 Km. in length with a width of 51 Km., the South Andaman are around 130 Km. long and the Nicobar group - also known as southern group - stretches over 236 Km.
