About Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission
The Assam Electricity Regulatory commission was established under the electricity regulatory commission on 28th February 2005. The main objective of this is to involve consumers in the power sector reform process in Assam through activity participation in the public hearing.
The commission has been traditionally depending on the data and information furnished by ASEB. The main mission is to protect the interest of all categories of electricity consumers and to empower consumer to effectively participate in the regulatory processes.
ASEB act as a source of information to consumer of electricity and provide them with the necessary guidance on various power related issue, to ensure that all decisions, activities and action in the power sector in the state are not just consumer friendly but also environment friendly.
