Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

A single contractual vacancy is available under the Multi-Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) at Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

The candidate must be a citizen of India and must satisfy the following educational requirements:

• Option A: 10+2 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) plus B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology).
• Option B: 10+2 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) plus 2 years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from an AICTE-approved institute.
  Note: Candidates with 1 year of laboratory experience in a recognized institute after completion of DMLT shall be preferred. Candidates with work experience in Molecular Biology and Quality-Assured Laboratories shall also be preferred.
• Mandatory: A valid Registration Certificate from the State Council of DMLT/DMRT, Odisha.

Other Conditions:

• Candidates who have passed HSC/+2/DMLT/B.Sc (MLT)/M.Sc (MLT) in more than one attempt will not be considered.
• Must be of good mental condition and bodily health, free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the discharge of duties.
• If married, must not have more than one spouse living.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

Candidates with essential qualifications will be short-listed on the basis of career marks. A maximum of 15 candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for Document Verification and Viva-voce Interview.

The final merit list will be prepared based on the following weightage:

The exact date for document verification and interview will be intimated later and published on the official website. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview.

2. Fill the application form completely in the given format.
3. Affix a recent passport-size colour photograph with self-attestation across the photograph.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant original documents and certificates.
5. Send the filled application form by Speed Post or Registered Post only to the Office of the Dean and Principal, Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir, PIN-767002, Odisha.
6. Ensure the application reaches the office on or before 28 October 2026 by 5:00 PM.

Important Instructions:

• Applications received after the due date or through any mode other than Speed Post / Registered Post will be summarily rejected. Incomplete applications are liable for rejection.
• The office will not be responsible for postal delays in receipt of the application.
• The appointment is purely on a contractual basis for a period of 364 days, which may be curtailed or extended subject to satisfactory performance or availability of project funds.
• The incumbent will have no claim for regularization of services.
