Educational Qualification: Project Associate I: M.Sc. in Chemistry (mainly synthetic Organic chemistry; however, M. Sc. in general chemistry can also apply with a minimum of 60% marks
Project Associate II : M.Sc. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry spl.)/ M.Sc. in Physics (interest in laser spectroscopy and optics)/ M.Tech. in Lasers with a minimum of 60% marks
Experience: Project Associate I: The candidates should be capable of synthesizing new molecules and
characterizing them.
Project Associate II: The candidate will mainly work in non-linear spectroscopy using the femtosecond laser and multiphoton microscope for bioimaging. Therefore, a candidate with knowledge or interest in optics/lasers or related areas with an equivalent background will be given preference

The Institute is a dream come true of its founder late Mr G.D.Birla - an eminent industrialist, a participant in Indian freedom struggle and a close associate of the Father of Indian Nation late Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi). What started in early 1900s as a small school, blossomed into a set of colleges for higher education, ranging from the Humanities to Engineering until 1964 when all these colleges amalgamated to culminate into a unique Indian University of International standing.
