BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus invites applications for the position of Physical Education Instructor, Grade-II. The position details are as follows:

1. Post Name: Physical Education Instructor, Grade-II

3. Reporting to Associate: Dean – Student Welfare Division

4. Will also work very closely with Key Internal: Students, SWD Staff, Purchase and Faculty Key External: Sports Authorities, Parents and Vendors

5. Qualification and Personal Profile: Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Sports & Games at University / State / National level. Should not be above 35 years of age. For exceptional candidates with very good physical fitness, subject knowledge & work experience related to Physical Education, eligibility criteria may be relaxed.

6. Other Skill and Ability Requirements: Should have sound expertise in Sports Science. Should be physically fit & have reasonable sports skills. Should exhibit consistent record of having represented the University or College level at Inter-University / College competitions or the State and / or National Championships. Should be computer savvy. Should be proficient in verbal & written communication. Should possess excellent planning and organization skills. Should exhibit good people skills with evidence of being able to work collaboratively with different stakeholders. Should be able to manage students and interact with their parents, when required.

7. Compensation Suitable candidate will be placed in Level 10A with a minimum pay of Rs. 57,700/- per month plus DA and other benefits as per Institute Norms.

8. Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Devising & organizing physical activity programs targeted at developing students physically at a personal level in areas such as flexibility, strength, endurance & coordination as well as at an interpersonal level in areas such as teamwork & sportsmanship. Implementing policies & procedures related to health, physical & mental wellness.

a. Monitoring & coordinating with various stakeholders in ensuring smooth functioning of the various sports facilities on campus. Planning for improvement in different sports avenues. Contacting & negotiating with external agencies for sourcing materials. Creating an awareness & understanding of the importance of an overall healthy lifestyle and creating a passion for active recreation & sport. Any other responsibility assigned by the Reporting Officer / Institute from time to time.
