Skills / Eligibility
Interested eligible candidates are requested to apply for the post of Librarian at BIT Mesra, Ranchi on Regular basis. They are required to submit their application in a prescribed application format. 1. Name of the Post: Librarian 2. No of vacancy: 01 3. Essential: a) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. b) At least 10 (ten) years as a Librarian at any level in University Library or 10 (ten) years of teaching as Assistant/ Associate Professor in Library Science or 10 (ten) years’ experience as a College Librarian. c) Evidence of innovative library services, including the integration of ICT in a library. d) A Ph.D Degree in library Science / Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping. 4. Pay Level as per 7th CPC: AL14 (144200-218200) Basic Pay – 1,44,200/- 5. Academic records and Research Performance: Screening based on minimum academic record (20 API points) and research performance (40 API points) as per the Institute API calculation.

Selection Procedure
Only shortlisted candidates who are found prima facie eligible based on the details given in the application will be called for interview.
