Applications are invited from eligible male candidates for recruitment to fill up vacancies in the following posts in Group “C’ Cadres of Marine Wing in the jurisdiction of Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Tiruchirappalli. 1. Name of the post: Seaman 2. Number of vacancies / reserved for: 5 (ST-1/ UR4) 3. Salary: Rs.18,000-56,900/- at Level-1 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC – CCS(Revised Pay) Rules,2016. (PB-1 - Rs.5,200-20,200/- & Grade Pay Rs.1,800/- in prerevised 6th CPC Pay Band) 4. Essential:- (i) X Class pass or equivalent (ii)Three years experience in sea going mechanized vessel with two years in helmsman and seamanship work. 5. 1. The Selection Committee shall scrutinize the applications received and candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stipulated above as on the closing date of receipt of application will be called for a Written Examination relating to the Post. The Written Examination will be held only in Tiruchirappalli.
2. The results of the Written Examination and the List of Candidates selected for Skill Test (PET) shall be displayed in the Notice Boards of Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Headquarters Office, Tiruchirappalli.
1. Closing date for receipt of Application Forms: The application forms complete in every respect must reach on or before 15.01.2022 by ordinary post only.
2. Applications received after the closing date or incomplete in any respect shall be summarily rejected and no communication in respect of the rejected application forms shall be entertained
3. This office shall not be responsible for any postal delays. (Note: Applications sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier /in person, will not be accepted).
4. Application in the prescribed Format given below duly typed or neatly handwritten in A-4 size paper duly signed along with left hand Thumb Impression and along with relevant attested photo copies of educational qualifications, Mark Sheets, proof of age, category, essential & desirable qualification certificates, etc.
5. wherever necessary and three passport size photographs and two self addressed unstamped envelopes of 25 Cms. X 12 Cms. is to be sent by ORDINARY POST ONLY addressed to: The Joint Commissioner Of Customs (P&v), O/o The Commissioner Of Customs (Preventive), No.1, Williams Road, Cantonment, Tiruchirappalli-620001. (Tamil Nadu)
1. The Department reserves its right to accept or reject the candidature of any applicant and/or to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason whatsoever
2. Photographs pasted on the application will be duly self attested (self signature shall run through the Photo and the Application Form without defacing the face).
3. Incomplete or unsigned application and applications received without photographs or proper enclosures or received after due date will be summarily rejected.
4. Mere submission of application will not confer any right on the applicant to be called for written test.
5. Separate application form should be submitted for each post in separate Envelopes..The envelope (28 Cms X 13 Cms) containing the application must be super-scribed in bold letters as “Application For Marine Wing Posts – Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Tiruchirappalli” and also indicate the NAME OF THE POST APPLIED FOR and Category at the left side corner of the envelope.
6. There is no Application Fee. 7. The detailed advertisement and Application Proforma, educational qualifications and terms and conditions can be downloaded from the Website www.trichycustomszone.gov.in.
8. The Experience certificate must contain period with dates, names of Organizations, name of the post held, salary drawn and nature of work done, etc.
9. The Selection Committee shall scrutinize the applications received and candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria stipulated above as on the closing date of receipt of application will be called for a Written Examination relating to the Post. The Written Examination will be held only in Tiruchirappalli.
10. The candidates qualified in the Written Test will be called for PET/ Skill test (Swimming Test).
11. The Hall Tickets for above examinations will be sent by Post and will also be available in the Departmental Website i.e. www.trichycustomszone.gov.in.
12. The results of the Written Examination and the List of Candidates selected for Skill Test (PET) shall be displayed in the Notice Boards of Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Headquarters Office, Tiruchirappalli
