Eligibility & General Instructions

  • Educational Qualification: As specified in the vacancy table. Candidates whose results are awaited for the essential qualification are not eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 35 years for PAT/PA posts and 40 years for Senior/Principal PAT posts. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Woman as per CSIR/GoI instructions.
  • Tenure: The appointment is co-terminus with the project. The total tenure of project staff in CSIR should not exceed 06 or 07 years in any case.
  • Selection: Walk-in-interview. The Selection Committee may adopt its own criteria, which could include an objective test (MCQ) followed by an interview on the same day.
  • Documents: Candidates must bring original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies, along with a bio-data affixed with a latest passport-size photograph.
  • Reporting Time: Candidates must report for verification of original certificates between 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the day of the interview.
  • NOC: Candidates presently working in CSIR-CBRI must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Principal Investigator/Project Leader.
  • No TA/DA: No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the interview.
  • Online Interview: Requests for online interviews will not be entertained.
  • Boarding/Lodging: Candidates should make their own arrangements as the interview may continue till late night or the next day.
  • Discipline: In case of any dispute, the English version of the advertisement will prevail.
