4. Essential Qualification: PhD degree in the discipline of Veterinary or Animal Biochemistry/ Animal Biotechnology/ Organic chemistry/ Agricultural Chemicals/ Chemistry with specialization in organic chemicals/ Life Sciences Or Master's degree in Veterinary or Animal Biochemistry/ Animal Biotechnology with 4/5 Years of Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university with 1st Division/60%Equivalent with minimum three years of research experience
5. Desirable: Research experience of working in project related area as evident by research paper/patent/diagnostic kit.
6. Monthly emolument: Rs. 54000/- + HRA as admissible under DST/MHRD/ICAR rules
7. Period of Contract: Co-terminus with the project or up to 31st July 2023, and subject to satisfactory work or can be terminated as per project duration/ funds unavailability

Essential Qualification: Master's degree in the discipline of Veterinary or Animal biochemistry/Animal Biotechnology with 4/5 years of bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Organic chemistry/ Agricultural Chemicals/ Chemistry with specialization in organic chemicals/Life Sciences from a recognized university with 3 years Bachelor's degree. The candidates should have valid NET! GATE from CSIR, ICAR etc. and should have a research experience of minimum 2 years.
5. Desirable: Research experience of working in the area of reproductive biology/ biotechnology/ biochemistry and Molecular Biology/ RNA and Protein biology as; evident by web of science or Scopus or NAAS indexed research papers /patents
6. Monthly emolument: Rs.35,000/- + HRA as admissible under DST/MHRD/ ICAR rules

Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB) was established in the year 1985 and started functioning from 1 February, 1985. A sub-campus was later added in December,1987 at Bir Dosanjh, Nabha, District Patiala, Punjab. A highly pedigreed breeding herd of Murrah is established at main campus in Hisar and that of Nili-Ravi buffaloes at sub-campus Nabha. The institute carries out research on various aspects of buffalo improvement including conservation, improvement and propagation of germplasm, development of optimum rations and feeding systems for different categories of buffaloes, enhancement of reproductive efficiency, health management practices for augmenting milk, meat and draught performance of the species.
The institute is aiming to improve buffaloes through identification, conservation and propagation of elite germplasm having high efficiency of reproduction and nutrient utilization for sustainable production and commercialization.
