Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) is the primary state transmission utility responsible for the bulk transmission of electric power across the state of Haryana, India. Incorporated in August 1997 following the unbundling of the erstwhile Haryana State Electricity Board (HSEB), HVPNL operates under the administrative control of the Government of Haryana. Its core function is to construct, operate, and maintain an efficient, reliable, and economical intra-state transmission network that wheel electricity from various central, state, and independent power generation sources to distribution companies (UHBVN and DHBVN).
Over the years, HVPNL has continuously upgraded and expanded Haryana's power grid infrastructure to keep pace with growing industrial, commercial, and agricultural energy demands. The utility manages an extensive network of high-voltage transmission lines (ranging from 66 kV to 400 kV) and substations spread across the state. Through modern load dispatch systems, smart grid initiatives, and advanced voltage stabilization technologies, HVPNL ensures uninterrupted, high-quality power delivery while minimizing transmission losses and supporting Haryana's overall economic growth.
