The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Kausaylaganga, Bhubaneswar, Odisha invites applications through online mode for engagement of 01 (One) no. of Young Professional-II, purely on contractual basis to work under “All India Network Project on Ornamental Fish Breeding and Culture (AINPOFBC)” project at ICAR-CIFA Bhubaneswar as per details given below:
1. Position : Young Professional II
2. No of Post : 01
3. Qualification : Essential: M.F.Sc./M.Sc. in Zoology from a recognized University. Desirable Qualifications: Academic accomplishments in Fisheries Science and Aquaculture. Candidates having experience in the field of ornamental aquaculture are preferred.
4. Emoluments : Rs.35,000/- per month Consolidated
5. Duration of engagement : Until 31 March, 2023. (Likely to continue till March 2025)

Age Limit: Below 35 Years for men and 40 years for women as on closing date of application. Relaxable of age to the SC/ST/OBC and Divyaang candidates will be as per rules.
Selection Procedure
A. For shortlisting the candidates for interview:
a) In a case where the total marks obtained in column No. I to V of para 2 are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
B. For final selection of the candidates:
a) In a case of the overall equal marks, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
b) Further, if the candidates are of same age, the candidate securing more total marks in the column No. V (Academic accomplishments) will be ranked higher.

The Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) is a premier research Institute on freshwater aquaculture in the country under the aegeis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi. The present Institute has had its beginnings in the Pond Culture Division of Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) established at Cuttack, Orissa in 1949 with a view to face challenges in the field of fish culture in ponds, tanks and other small aquatic body. Subsequently, CIFRI, in a major effort to give emphasis to freshwater aquaculture research, initiated steps to establish the Freshwater Aquaculture Research and Training Centre (FARTC) over 147 ha campus at Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The Centre gradually developed into its full capacity and became an independent Institute during 1987 as Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA). The Institute is also the Lead Centre on ‘Carp Farming in India’ under Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific (NACA) operative under Food and Agriculture Organisation of United Nation (FAO).
