4. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Post 1: M.Tech in Footwear Engineering & Management (Essential).
  • Post 2: M.Sc. in Biotechnology OR Bioscience OR Biochemistry (Essential).
  • Note: Final year/semester students awaiting results are NOT ELIGIBLE.

Age Limit & Relaxation

  • Maximum Age: 35 Years.
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Govt. of India rules:
    • SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 05 years relaxation.
    • OBC: 03 years relaxation.
  • Cut-off Date: The date of determining qualification and age shall be the date of Interview.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Total tenure of Project Staff in any CSIR Lab shall not exceed 6/7 years (as applicable). Candidates who have already completed this tenure are NOT ELIGIBLE.
  • Experience: For the M.Tech post, experience in recombinant expression of proteins and Pilot scale Protein Purification is required.

5. Examination Structure & Selection Process

This recruitment involves a competitive selection process:

  • Stage I: Written Test (Qualifying Nature).
  • Stage II: Personal Interview (for candidates qualifying in Stage I).

Exemption

Candidates who have qualified in NET/GATE or national level exams conducted by CSIR/DBT/DST/ICMR/IIT/IISc/UGC etc., are exempted from the Written Test. They can directly attend the Interview on 18.03.2026.
