A Walk-in interview for selection of Young Professional -II (With written test and interview) purely on contractual basis under the project "Formulation development of entomopathogenic fungi, Simplicillium spp. and its utilization in the management of coconut invasive whiteflies" 1. Post Name: Young Professional -II 2. No of Post: 01 3. Place of work: CAR-CPCRI, Kasaragod 4. Qualification: Post-graduation (M.Sc) in Agricultural Entomology or Zoology with specialization in Entomology. 5. Desirable: Having experience in insect rearing, bioassay, analysis of data using SPSS experience in nursery activities in coconut/arecanut/cocoa. 6. Duration: up to 28.02.2023 or closure of the project, whichever is earlier 7. Salary: Rs. 25000/- Per month (Consolidated)

1. A walk-in Interview to be held on 02.03.2022 at 09.30 A.M at CPCRI, Kudlu P.o., Kasaragod, Kerala - 671 124.
2. The candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may attend the walk—in-interview at CPCRI, Kasaragod on the dates mentioned above.
3. The candidates should be present in the venue at 9.00 am on the date of Interview.
4. Late comers shall not be allowed to take the interview
5. They should bring with them, their bio-data and original certificates in proof of age, caste, educational qualifications, experience etc. and copy of the experience certificates.
6. Those who do not furnish the Original or Provisional Certificate will not be allowed to appear for the written test/ interview.

The Coconut Research Station at Kasaragod in Kerala was initially established in 1916 by the then Government of Madras and subsequently it was taken over by the Indian Central Coconut Committee in 1948. Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) was established in 1970 as one of the agricultural research institutes in the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The Institute had the mandate to undertake research on coconut, arecanut, cocoa, cashew, oil palm and spices at the time of establishment. The research on cashew, oil palm and spices were later delinked from CPCRI to form separate institutes. The present mandate of the institute is to conduct research on coconut, arecanut and cocoa.
