1. Name of the Post: Junior research fellow (JRF) under SERB-funded Project
2. No. of Post: 01
3. Principal Investigator: Dr. Santanu Karan, Senior Scientist, CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar, Gujarat (https://www.nanofilmlab.com).
4. Essential Qualification(s): M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry.
5. Fellowship: Rs 31000/- + HRA for the scholars who are selected through a process described through any one of the following:
(a) Scholars who are selected through National eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE.
(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
6. Duration of the project: This position is purely temporary for the project duration (three years). Therefore, it would not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit, for any candidate for extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI. The initial appointment is for one year.
7. Job Description: Selected candidate will work on SERB-funded Core Research Grant (CRG) entitled: Porous polymer nanofilm composite membranes: a way forward for realizing efficient molecular-level discrimination. The main objective of this project is to prepare polymer composite membranes used for molecular level separation in both aqueous and non-aqueous liquids.
Pay Scale: INR 31000(Per Month)
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rules.
Selection Procedure
Incomplete applications would be rejected during screening. Applications received by e-mail will be scrutinized based on certain selection criteria. Only short-listed candidates will be asked to attend the interview through online mode (Skype or MS Teams). Details of the interview will be intimated to such candidates by e-mail.
