Pay Basis: Rs. 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month as per UGC guidelines No. F.25-1/2018(PS/MISC.) dated 28.01.2019. Income tax of 10% or 20% may be deducted for candidates with and without PAN respectively, unless a valid exemption certificate is submitted.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Candidates must satisfy either Option A or Option B below:

• Option A:
  • A Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned / relevant / allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • Candidates must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR), or SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 and their amendments. Ph.D. holders are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Note: Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009 are governed by certain exemptions as per UGC norms.
• Option B:
  • A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or ARWU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University).

Additional Conditions

• Superannuated teachers may also be considered for Guest Faculty engagement up to a maximum age limit of 70 years.
• All qualifications and conditions are subject to UGC (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Academic Staff in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions) Regulations, 2018 and subsequent amendments.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Email Application Screening: Candidates must submit their detailed Curriculum Vitae and scanned copies of all relevant documents via email before 15 October 2026.
2. Walk-in Interview: The engagement shall be through a walk-in interview scheduled for 16 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. Candidates must report one hour prior (by 10:00 AM) at the CTUAP campus venue with original documents.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and documents will be verified at the venue during the interview.

Important: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the walk-in interview.

• Guest Faculty will not be treated as regular teachers for voting rights or statutory body membership.
• Guest Faculty will not receive allowances, pension, gratuity, or leave as admissible to regular teachers.
