CEPT established the School of Building Science and Technology (SBST) in 1982 that focuses on issues concerning Planning, Design, and Construction & Management of Human Habitats. SBST has now been renamed as Faculty of Technology. Faculty of Technology, CEPT University, Ahmedabad invites applications for the position of Laboratory Assistants, Faculty of Technology. We are looking for a candidate who has good hands on laboratory techniques as well as practical knowledge, experience in testing materials, and equipment knowledge.

1. Position: Laboratory Assistant  (Full-Time position)

2. Academic Qualification and Experience Required

a) Graduation Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering.

b) Minimum 2 years of experience in material testing laboratory in the academic institute or material testing laboratory of high repute.

c) Candidate pursuing Ph.D. in the similar area can also apply.

3. Expertise required

a) Should have the theoretical knowledge about the testing materials.

b) Should be able to integrate the theory with practical testing methodology for the materials as per the IS codes.

c) Should know the relevance of the tests for the materials and should be able to interpret and explain the result from the experimentation.

d) Should be able to operate the equipment safely and should be able to maintain the equipment periodically.

e) Should be able to work with MS word, PowerPoint and Excel.

4. Academic Qualification and Experience Required

a) Graduation Degree in (Chemistry/ Bio-chemistry/ Microbiology/ Environmental Science/ Climate change/ Forensic Science) having experience in Environmental Auditing.

b) Minimum 2 years of Experience in Environment laboratory in the academic institute or industry or consulting firm of high repute

5. Expertise required

a) Should have the theoretical knowledge about the testing water, wastewater, air and noise parameters.

b) Should be able to integrate the theory with practical testing methodology for the environment parameters as per the IS codes and APHA.

c) Should know the relevance of the tests for the environment parameters and should be able to interpret and explain the result from the experimentation.

d) Should be able to operate the equipment safely and should be able to maintain the equipment periodically.

e) Should be able to work with MS word, PowerPoint and Excel.
